The effects of light in natural settings are always surprising and magical.  The creative responses  on canvas by the artist Eleanor Kotlarik Wang to shadows, flora, colors and spaces observed on her walks in nature also have a sense of awe and delight.  Her mark making suggests floating leaves, broken branches, flower petals or other elements found in nature. Yet they are not precise forms.  Atmospheric spaces full of energetic lines and textured layers of color  prevail in the work adding  a layer of mystery to the paintings.
