ARTIST STATEMENT
I draw and paint what I see around me, cityscapes inspired by the skylines and bustle of cities; figurative work by people I see in parks and pubs, on city streets, at events, chiefly here in Washington; landscapes by travel and nearby vistas. I work in oil with palette knives, brushes, rags, whatever, to build up a rich play of color and texture in these expressionist works, mostly on paper.
You can view more of my cityscapes in the online exhibition catalog from a solo show titled Urban Uprising. Use the Shop Online link below or follow the Previous Exhibitions tab from the home page. Enjoy.
