Pond Reflections

My husband Jim Duffy and I bought a log cabin in Rappahannock County, Virginia 21 years ago.  The cabin sits on a small pond.

I was initially disappointed when we bought the property that we didn't have a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  However I quickly realized that there was always something happening in and around the pond and it was all the "view" we needed.

We both love to travel and many of my photographs were taken during trips to interesting places. When Covid took over our world that changed and I began to look for things to photograph closer to home.

The pond was a natural subject.  I have always appreciated the reflections that appear on it at different times of day and in different seasons of the year. The pond is like a giant mirror of the sky, the clouds, the trees and flowers surrounding it.
